Dr. M. Hughes (Dr. Mike)

Dr. Michael HughesAs dentists, we have the unique opportunity to see our patients several times per year. With each visit, we are able to build upon existing relationships, watch families grow and have the chance to truly become part of our patients’ lives.

Michael E. Hughes, DMD, MS, started practicing comprehensive dentistry alongside his father, R. Michael Hughes DMD, in 2011. Known in our office as Dr. Mike, he is a graduate of Penn State with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. While working as a dental assistant in Dr. Hughes’ office, Michael went on to receive his Master's Degree in Biology from West Chester University. In May of 2011, he graduated summa cum laude from Temple University School of Dentistry. Michael was selected to be a member of the national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and was awarded, by a vote of the faculty, the Dr. Benjamin Homer Award. This award is given to the graduating dental student who most exhibits the qualities of scholastic excellence, integrity, and civility. A member of the International Dental Implant Association, Dr. M. Hughes has completed over 120 hours of continuing education in implant dentistry, and is a fellow of the IDIA. Dr. Rechlicz

David "Jack" Rechlicz, DMD

Dentistry allows the unique opportunity to develop a trusting relationship with patients and their families while also providing a needed service to the community. Growing up in Montrose, Pennsylvania, as the son of a dentist, I was afforded the opportunity to watch my dad build lasting relationships with those he has treated. I work hard to emulate his compassionate and thorough care in my own dental community and look forward to creating these important connections with patients along the way!

Dr. David "Jack" Rechlicz is from Montrose, a small town in Northeastern Pennsylvania. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The University of Scranton and a Master's Degree in Biotechnology from Marywood University. Dr. Rechlicz completed his dental education at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry, completing his DMD with cum laude honors in 2020. Upon graduating from dental school, he completed a general practice residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown. During this year-long residency, he received advanced training in dental implants, restorative dentistry, fixed and removable prosthodontics, oral surgery, and endodontics.

Dr. Rechlicz has spent several years in private practice in Berks County. He and his wife, Samantha, recently settled in Phoenixville, and are happy to be Chester County residents! Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending time outdoors. He is an avid skier, surfer, and runner. He and his wife, Sam, also enjoy taking their dog, Reese, for hikes around Chester County or on the beaches of New Jersey. Dr. Rechlicz's warm personality and welcoming demeanor add to the dental experience of his patients. He looks forward to meeting you at your next dental visit!

Dr. Hughes (Retired)

Dr. HughesWhat a rewarding job I’ve had since 1980! I’ve had the opportunity to meet new people, provide an important healthcare service and watch our patients’ families grow up over the years. Treating the children of folks I have known since they were just kids themselves is fun. It’s all about the relationships we form with our patients.

R. Michael Hughes, DMD, has called Chester County home for over 40 years. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, graduating with distinction from Penn State University. He then received his DMD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, graduating in the top ten of his class. To provide the finest patient care, Dr. Hughes continues to build his knowledge base as an attendee of the Pankey Institute and through continuing education courses in all aspects of comprehensive dentistry. He is also a member of both the Pennsylvania Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dr. Hughes was on the Board of Directors for the Chester County Community Dental Center for four years, serving one year as vice president and two years as president. He has treated children for 15 years as a volunteer dentist of the Brandywine Hospital Dental Clinic. Dr. Hughes spends his time away from the office with his wife, Mary Ann, their children and grandchildren.

After 43 years of practice, Dr. Hughes retired in February 2022. You may still see him around the office from time to time. His son, Michael E. Hughes, continues the practice philosophy of individualized, patient-centered dental care.
